Your Local Church
Welcome to your local church!
At Langwarrin–Pearcedale Anglican Church, we’re a friendly fellowship of Christians from around the Mornington Peninsula who gather in two welcoming locations—Langwarrin and Pearcedale—to magnify Jesus and grow as his disciples. We meet regularly because we’ve found that following Jesus is joy, and everything we do—from Sundays to weekday ministries—flows from that heartbeat.
We’re an evangelical church, which simply means we start with the basics: the Bible, the good news (the evangel—eu meaning “good” and angel meaning “message”), and the story of Jesus—who he is, what he has done on the cross, and why that changes everything.
We’re also reformed in our worship and devotion in the warmest and simplest sense. We believe the essentials of the Christian faith are beautifully sufficient and deeply relevant today: we are saved only by God’s grace, through faith in Christ, for God’s glory. That’s the heartbeat of the Bible, and it’s the message we love to keep front and centre—because, as Colossians 2:5–6 reminds us, the way we begin with Jesus is also the way we continue with him.
And we’re Anglican because we value belonging to the wider family of orthodox Protestant churches shaped by a long and steady historical witness—rooted in the English reformers’ commitment to the basics of Christian belief and practice. So we are also aligned with GAFCON and hold to its Statement of Belief as outlined in the Jerusalem Declaration.
And yes, we’re a church in the simplest sense—a gathering of people. People with stories. People with questions. People with hope. People learning to follow Jesus together. Whether you’re exploring faith, returning after some time away, or looking for a local church to call home, you’re warmly invited to come along, meet the community, and discover the joy of walking with Jesus among friends.
