Sermons

At LPAC, we pray each service and event to be shaped by God’s living word. We really believe the best thing we can offer anyone is a gentle and persuasive word about Jesus — “speaking the truth in love” (Ephesians 4:15). So when the Bible is read aloud and we gladly say, “This is the word of the Lord,” we mean it! Our preaching is intentionally expository, following the long and trusted pattern that takes Scripture seriously because “all Scripture is God-breathed” (2 Timothy 3:16).

Across the school year we run four major sermon series, moving through a New Testament letter, a Gospel, an Old Testament book, and something miscellaneous as either thematic or topical or simply another portion of Scripture for expository preaching. Between terms, we enjoy short two- or three-week mini-series — Easter reflections in autumn, doctrinal studies in winter, spiritual disciplines in spring, and Christmas teaching followed by a summer series. Each term also comes with weekly small-group study notes and a dedicated launch of prayer and focus.

We approach the Scriptures thoughtfully and prayerfully so that, like Psalm 1 invites, we might appreciate how the text is written and find suitable application relevant to be like the tree planted by streams of living water growing strong and fruitful. Right now, we’re exploring Acts 1–8 — feel free to tune in to our sermon uploads anytime.
