Our Minister — Rev. Josh Simon
Josh Simon is married to Kathryn, and together they have four children—Sara, Ria, Judah, and Jesse.
He was inducted as vicar at Langwarrin Pearcedale Anglican Church in January 2025.
Josh and his family have felt warmly welcomed, and they are genuinely excited to share the gospel, to live and serve alongside the parish community.
He loves preaching, teaching the Bible, and connecting over coffee, curry, or a casserole. In quieter moments, he enjoys painting, listening to music, drives through the country or along the coast, camping, or cooking.
Josh was born in Pune, India, into a Hindu Brahmin family. His journey to Christ began in childhood when he noticed a crucifix of Jesus hanging above his classroom blackboard(!) and deepened when his father came to faith. Discovering how this cross is all about God’s astonishing love and forgiveness—how Jesus died for our sins and rose again—is what changed him to become a Christian, and it remains at the very heart of what he loves sharing and discussing today.
Before entering ministry, Josh spent about 15 years working as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, studied science, and later trained at Ridley College. He also spent over six years as a student minister and then curate at St John’s Highton in Geelong—for which he remains deeply grateful.
