Reading the Bible Together
7:30pm Tuesdays - Church Hall
It's not a Bible study. It's not a discussion group. It's RBT. It’s for anyone. We have teenagers. We have older people (ie. +21’s). All are welcome. For one week. Or as a regular. Bring your Bible. Or use a church one. It’s usually in the Langwarrin Church Hall. If unavailable, it’s in the sanctuary. We turn up. We pray. WE READ TOGETHER. Not that everyone reads out aloud. Only if you want to. If not, just come and listen. We may briefly discuss. But not too much. It’s mainly about reading. Understanding the whole story.
Taking in the broader view. Comprehending the big themes. Making biblical connections. Noticing how God works with humans. Noting how God is faithful in history. Seeing how Jesus makes all the difference. Witnessing God’s loving kindness.
Shaping how we respond to him. And each other. Encouraging further research. Motivating further reading. Inspiring deeper thought. We pray. We go home. Only to return the following week. And do it all again.
